The Swim Ireland Connacht Region Annual Conference takes place on Thursday 16 February 2023. Registration for the Swim Ireland Connacht Region Annual Conference 2023, will open Wednesday 1 February 2023.
The Conference is open to all club members to attend.
Clubs will have received their Nomination Notice, to be completed and returned by Tuesday 31 January 2023.
The Swim Ireland Connacht Delegates Meeting takes place online, Tuesday 31 January 2023 at 19:30.
This meeting is an opportunity for the Connacht Regional Management Committee (CRMC) to share information with the region’s clubs. It is recommended that at least two members of each club attends in order to support their club’s committee.
The 2023Connacht Senior Schools Championship takes place at the Longford Sports & Leisure Centre on Sunday 5th February 2023. This swim meet is open to swimmers registered with clubs in Swim Ireland Connacht Region and all Secondary Schools in Connacht.

The 2023Connacht Minor Schools Championship takes place at the Leisureland, Galway on Sunday 29th January 2023. This swim meet is open to all National Schools in the Connacht.

Connacht’s fastest athletes were put through their paces on Saturday 19 November in Longford.
Athletes from Athlone SC, Bluefin SC, Carrick Fins SC, Galway SC, Longford SC, Shark SC, County Sligo SC and Trident SC have accepted their places on the Athlete Support Programme (ASP) 2022/23.
Run by Connacht’s Regional Pathway Development Coach, the aim of the ASP is to provide focussed peer-training opportunities that are supplementary to club sessions.
The criteria for selection includes athletes on both the National and Regional Programmes, but also athletes with qualification times within 3% of the Regional Programme standard.

Skills Clinics take place across Ireland during November and December 2022. These clinics are aimed at age group coaches working with athletes aged 12 & under and focus on freestyle drill progressions.
Event Details
A 90-minute session for age-group coaches led by the head coach of the host club. When you register for the clinic, you will receive an outline of our current thinking on the foundations of freestyle technique and some of the drills that can be used to support the development of a strong technical foundation.
**Skills Clinics are free-of-charge and offer 1 CPD point on completion to all attending swim teachers and coaches.**
