Regional Programme Development Day for Athletes (2013)

Introducing the Regional Programme and the Skills Academy!

Open to all Swim Ireland club members born in 2013, who are competing in the Future Challenger Series.

Discover how we support young athletes in their development into age group swimming. The Connacht Regional Programme Development Day takes place on Sunday 10 November 2024 at Coral Leisure Tuam, Co Galway from 13:00 to 16:30.

Swimmers can expect to learn more about the Regional Programmes and the Competition Pathway, before diving into a dry land workshop and pool clinic that explores effective stroke development.

Itinerary:
13:00-13:15 
Check-in 
13:15-14:00 
Welcome and Presentation
14:00-14:45 Strength and Conditioning
14:45-15:00 Transfer to poolside
15:00-16:30 Pool Session 

Cost: €25 (exclusive of credit/debit card payment surcharge of 2%)

Connacht Regional Short Course Championships 2024

The Connacht Regional Short Course Championships 2024 takes place at Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh, Castlebar on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November 2024.

NO entries will be taken on the day of the meet.

It is the responsibility of each club to fill their respective slots and if a club cannot do so, then they should contact another club with regards to changing duties. Each club must provide two volunteer officials per swimmer in the 800 and 1500 FS events.

There is a water dispenser in the foyer of Lough Lannagh, we advise all parents, swimmers to bring refillable water bottles.

Swim Ireland Connacht introduce AquaSprint to the competition calendar! 🥳

The Forest Feast AquaSprint Junior Swimming League starts this season, with three divisions competing to see which team comes out on top at the Forest Feast AquaSprint Final in Castlebar in June 2025.

Connacht clubs are invited to register their interest before Sunday 29 September 2024, CLICK HERE

Hy-Tek Sports Software Workshop

To support clubs, gala secretaries and competition organisers, Swim Connacht will host a Hy-Tek Sports Software Workshop on Sunday 22 September 2024.

Patricia Cleary, Yvonne Morris and Christine Watterson will be discussing common issues and answering your questions from 10am to 12noon at the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris.
