Regional Development Programme 2026/27

Congratulations to the 24 athletes selected for Connacht’s Regional Development Programme 2026/27! 🏊‍♂️

Selected based on their performances at last season’s identified competitions, Connacht and Munster joined forces to welcome these talented athletes at their Orientation Day in UL Sport Arena, Limerick yesterday.

The athletes embraced a packed day of training, education and personal development activities.

A huge thank you to our fantastic team who helped make the day such a success: Practitioners Ronan (Strength & Conditioning) and Robbie (Sports Psychology) ⭐ Coaches Enda, Norma and Fiona

Most importantly, thank you to our athletes for their energy, enthusiasm and commitment throughout the day.

Congratulations to the 36 athletes selected for Connacht’s Regional Skills Academy 2026/27! 🏊‍♂️

Selected based on their performances at last season’s identified competitions, these talented young swimmers officially began their journey yesterday at Orientation Day in UL Sport Arena, Limerick.

The athletes embraced a packed day of training, education and personal development activities.

Swim Ireland Complaints and Disciplinary Training

This online workshop will be delivered by Swim Ireland to help you understand the complaints and disciplinary process that operates within Swim Ireland.

It will outline the complaints and disciplinary process at club, regional and national level whilst also give attendees an opportunity to work through scenario-based activities. 

As part of the training, we will also discuss conflict management and dealing with complaints informally. 

The training will help achieve a practical understanding of:

  • Disciplinary matters 
  • Person in authority
  • Immediate and non-immediate sanctions
  • Complaints 
  • Role of the Complaints & Disciplinary Committee (CDC)

Swim Ireland Transgender and Non-Binary Participation and Competition Policy

The Swim Ireland Transgender and Non-Binary Participation and Competition Policy and supporting documentation have now been published and issued to clubs.

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR THE CONNACHT REGION ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2023

Registration is now open for the Swim Ireland Connacht Region Annual Conference 2023, which takes place online next Thursday 16 February at 7:30pm.

Attendees must register before 5pm on Wednesday 15 February 2022. You will be asked to provide your name, club, and to indicate if you are a voting delegate.

Swim Connacht’s three-day Pre-Season Skill Camps for club members take place across the region this August. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

To book, select and complete one camp registration via the links below. Payment details are sent directly on submission of form. Places are only guaranteed on receipt of fees. No refunds on cancellations within 7 days of camp start date.
